Here are my hair buzzing pictures. Now I'm all stubbly and itchy. Does anybody have any advice? I don't want to shave the stubble, because I'm afraid of razor burn. I just hope that the stubble will fall out anyway in a few more days. I'm ok with the bald look. I did it Sat. and today was the first day I left the house. I wore my wig to the store and it bugged me. So, I just wore a hat to pick up Braiden from preschool. The teachers know about everything, but I felt like everyone was looking at me, even in the car at stop lights. I know I'm being paranoid and I'll get use to it, but today was the first day out and I cried a little in the car, knowing this is going to be the way I look for a number of months. My oldest son Brandon, 17 who lives with my mom doesn't even want to see me because he says he can't handle it. I told him on myspace that I'd wear my wig or hat. I'm still his mom. I sent pix to my mom. He saw them. I just keep telling him that I'm ok and fine with being bald. I get my MRI Fri. 10/31 to see the progress of my chemo. I can feel a big difference in the lumps already. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. Keep it up. I know it's working. God Bless you all.

You look beautiful!! Don't know what to recommend for the itch - maybe some powder??? If the stubble doesn't fall out just shave it!!

I'm so sorry that you're having to go through all this. Hats are a good thing - I know I couldn't do a wig.

I went back and read your older posts. WOW - you really look great after Weight Watchers. I need to lose about 125 lbs. You've inspired me to try again.

I'm praying.

Love,
Kay

you look wonderful - a tiny bit of mineral oil may help the itch- not baby oil as it as perfume - you should be able to pick it up at your local drug store- we used it for papa David- he always cut his hair that way the last few years and he did not lose all his hair- I am praying for your son- it is hard for kids to see mom change but the good news - hair does come back-
continuing to pray for you and your family- hugs too from Meme

I still have that stubble after 4 treatments. I didn't shave it either. I remember the first week or so that it was itchy. I just used some handcream or body lotion. Now, it seems ok and I don't itch anymore. I got some wigs, too, but haven't worn them. I got some "chemo hats" on ebay and I use those. Maybe it's because I'm older than you, but I don't care if people look. And I've found that most know right away what's going on and are very nice and caring. "Normal" isn't possible for the duration of this journey, but we can try a little with the wigs, hats, etc. Better than bald!!!! Once, I almost forgot, and was in the car and my sister asked me if I was really going out bald. I about freaked out!!!!!! And it's pretty bad when you are in the shower and still reach for the shampoo and start shampooing your bald head. I do find that my head feels very cold in the cooler weather and I love the hats the best.

But Kay said it all ----- your beautiful no matter what! Just smile a lot!

Glad the lumps are getting smaller!
That's always a good thing!

Thanks for visiting my blog, and for your prayers, Stacy! I'll be thinking of you, too, on Wednesday when I'm in the "chemo chair" and I'll be praying for you. Don't know if we are getting the same stuff or not, but I'm dreading mine. You would think by now I would realize that it's only for a little while and it will all be over. But the day before, I always get a little anxious about it. We'll make it, and come out the other side winners!!!!! I think of you daily and always pray for you!

You look so beautiful... I suggest you to have several bandanas, especially, they are so practical at home. I'll suggest you to see the funny parts of your boldness. Believe me these days will last so easily and you'll remember its funny parts. Never focus on the side effects before or during the chemos.
You may feel your head so cold, especially while sleeping. I suggest you to wear a bandana at nights.
Today I received my test results, I'm cancer free since 4,5 years. I'm sure that you'll be another winner like me with your faith.
I keep you in my prayers.
